Christina Peterson has been beading for about 10 years.  Now that she's retired, she enjoys her hobby 3-4 hours on most days.  She has pretty much taught herself how to bead from books.  She loves making jewelry and gets lots of inspiration and ideas from observing jewelry everywhere she goes.

She loves the simpler styles for jewelry, but also likes to create fun things with beads. "I think I enjoy working with seed beads the most."  She doesn't limit herself to just beading jewelry.

The horse heads on the caps were from a cross-stitch pattern that she made to match her grandkids' horses. The designer of the patterns is LaSelva Designs. (Very cute cross stitch patterns!)

The design on the purse is a macrame friendship bracelet that she redid into a peyote stitch. It worked out perfectly!

Her work just goes to show that beading isn't just for jewelry!

She loves beading pictures with either loom or peyote.  She taught herself to bead crochet and started making lanyards for masks, among other things.

The dog picture below is also a cross stitch pattern that she customized to match her daughter's cross-bred dog and made the little carrier for her ID for her job!

Most of her projects have been for gifts to family and friends but she would love to sell some creations once she has found a nice little local market. The last picture is a little display of her jewelry for a small campground store last summer. This gives you an idea of the variety of things she has made!  We all need an outlet for all the beautiful things we create!
