BJ has been beading for over 20 years! She is 85 so that means she didn't start beading until her 60's. It's never too late to start a new hobby! She beads for a few hours every day. I know most of us are jealous of the time she has for beading.

Like most of us, she began with stringing beads together, but soon took beading lessons from the local bead store. " I had a lovely teacher who was so kind and patient. I especially like peyote stitch with Two-drop Peyote being my favorite. I don't sell my creations but I do give it away. The first of any pattern belongs to me. My daughter, daughter-in-law, granddaughters and great-granddaughters all get jewelry."
"I love bracelets, necklaces and earrings. I only wear the jewelry that I make."

This is a bead embroidery bracelet.

She is currently enjoying 2 drop peyote patterns.
The first one is from "The Beader's Bible".

This one is from Holly Kurzman's book "2 Drop Peyote Patterns".

One of her favorite pieces is this Stained Glass bracelet designed by TrinityDJ.

BJ, thank you for sharing your beautiful work with us!
And I thought I was old and beading. I am 78 and love beading. I really love the work you have done. keep it up.
Lovely work, Betty. I too started beading in my mid-60s, just several years ago, and I can’t get enough of it. It’s rather addictive. 😃
