Bead Board Envy has deep wells to keep your beads in place and a large drawer to store your beads, thread and cutters. It has a large work area made of Vellux to keep your beads from rolling around as you work. A tight-fitting cover protects the beads, keeping them in place during movement.
This feature is unique to Bead Board Envy! Each magnet stays put (if it does move, it’s easily put back) and it doesn’t get all tangled up in your thread. Don’t need the magnets? Simply take them off and put them away.
When you’re working with a pattern that has a lot of bead colors, let’s say greater than 10, it’s difficult to keep track of which bead matches up to which letter in the pattern. Alphabet beads do the trick, but how do you keep them in place? Pins constantly get tangled up in your thread. The solution is magnetized letters!
The 12 x 18 board has 45 magnets embedded in the board: it comes with 45 magnet beads: A-Z, 1-10 and 9 special characters

They help you label beads on the board to match your pattern or step-by-step sequence. Don’t need them? Just remove them — they’re optional! There are tiny magnets embedded in the board which attract the ultra small magnets with the letters. The attraction is strong enough to keep the magnets in place, but it does not prevent you from taking the magnets off the board. The indentations in the Vellux will smooth out in a short amount of time.
The beading surface is made of Vellux (TM) which is actually an awesome blanket made by Westpoint Home – www.vellux.com. I don’t know who figured out that a blanket made a great beading surface, all I know is that it works great to keep the beads from flying all over the place. The Vellux™ surface is easy to spot clean and resists lint, dust, and spills. Great for pet hair and everyday messes.
Most common beads will work beautifully — from tiny 15/0 seed beads to 6mm glass pearls and crystals. The deep wells keep them separate and secure.
Not at all. It’s lightweight but sturdy — easy to lift with one hand, yet solid enough to stay put while you bead.
The optional drawer fits essentials like thread spools, findings, scissors, and more. It’s your mobile mini-studio!
You can pick the Vellux surface color – ivory, grey or tan and the fabric color based on current availability.
The elastic color for the lid and the acrylic color for the drawer front are based on current availability. I am happy to take your input, but it may not always be possible.
If you send me custom fabric, I will consult you for the elastic and acrylic (if a drawer is ordered) colors.
You have 30 days to return it, no questions asked, although I appreciate any feedback. It is through customer feedback that I have been able to improve the board.
You are responsible for the return shipping, however I can send you a return label for $10-$25 (depending on the size of the board) and deduct it from your refund.

Yes! The lid is designed to fit snugly so your beads and project stay protected when not in use. Plugs in the cover will keep beads in the wells. A sleeve will add extra insurance against the beads wandering out of the surface, but it is recommended not to turn your board upside down.
